When our Tempo Aliante saddle hit the market almost exactly two decades ago, it took the cycling world by storm in 2003 with its innovative design that prioritized rider comfort - in France, it even earned the nickname "le sofa" - making it the first choice for countless long-distance riders ever since. To celebrate the twentieth birthday of the Aliante, we now want to introduce our next iteration of this timeless design.
With the brand new Tempo Aliante, comfort makes a comeback.

A NEW ALIANTE
The Aliante R1 belongs to the new generation of Aliante saddles and retains the key features that have made this saddle family an icon and one of the most comfortable saddles in the entire Fizik range.

ALL-DAY COMFORT
The Aliante is a waved saddle with a tapered transition from the wing to the nose. With a slightly wider platform that supports the sit bones, it improves stability and weight distribution for all-day rides. With a focus on comfort, the newly designed Aliante has a flatter surface to distribute pressure more evenly and provide a balanced feel, which is particularly useful on long endurance rides.

ENGINEERED PRESSURE RELIEF
The Aliante features an ergonomic cutout developed after detailed analyses and with the involvement of medical experts. Its goal: to reduce pressure and promote blood circulation. Additionally, the generous padding has been developed with dual-density foam, which is firmer at the sit bones and softer at the nose, to provide the right support for every rider regardless of riding position without creating excessive pressure. By the way, the Aliante R1 also saves weight thanks to a newly developed 7x9 mm carbon rail.
