The abbreviation MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System and was developed by specialists in the prevention of brain injuries from rotational falls. The MIPS system can reduce the impact energy by up to 40% and significantly decrease the stress on the brain. Brain injuries can thus be reduced or even avoided.

• Mips Layer: thin plastic shell located between the inner padding and the energy-absorbing shell of the helmet to counteract rotational forces during falls
