The BELLUS is the first model to adapt the SLID technology (Sliding Layer Impact Distribution) from HJC to minimize the rotational impact on the brain in the event of a fall.

COOLPATH™

Advanced Air Channel System

A certain amount of air enters the helmet through front openings, circulates inside the helmet, and exits at the back. The internal airflow increases to cool the head and dissipate heat.

SLID™️

HJC has developed an internal safety component using a special gel. The SLID lining is located inside the helmet and reduces the amount of energy transferred to the brain in the event of a possible fall by minimizing rotational forces.

Wind Tunnel Tested

HJC Helmets are tested in laboratories, but also in real everyday situations to meet the highest quality standards. HJC is one of the few helmet manufacturers that has its own state-of-the-art wind tunnel laboratory to conduct tests on aerodynamics, ventilation, riding noise, and more. The HJC wind tunnel lab measures air resistance under various riding conditions to improve helmet performance.

Aerodynamic Design

Years of experience with MotoGP racing helmets have made HJC designers and engineers experts in aerodynamics and wind-ventilated helmets. Aero helmets are, as the name suggests, more aerodynamic than classic racing bicycle helmets, but this comes at the expense of ventilation performance. This has been significantly improved in HJC helmets. Thus, HJC offers probably the best-ventilated semi-aero helmet currently available on the market, ... saving watts with HJC helmets.

In-Mold Construction

The method of In-Mold construction consists of bonding the layers of EPS with the outer polycarbonate shell to strengthen the structure. This improves the rider's protection through a compact reinforcement and gives the product the perfect finish.
