Description
Description
The original wing grip in the version with two-finger bar end – perfect for occasional repositioning and mountain passages. Our GP series is the worldwide reference for wing grips. The particularly user-friendly clamping mechanism (Pat. pend) of the GP2 benefits especially amateurs. Approved for carbon handlebars.
Nerve-friendly
When cycling, the hands support a large part of the upper body weight on the handlebars. This creates high pressure on the small grip surface. The very sensitive ulnar nerve, which runs close to the skin surface in the area of the little finger ball, is often pinched. This can lead to numbness. The wing grip enlarges the contact surface of the hand, distributes the pressure over a larger area, and prevents discomfort.
No bend – no tingling
Bending the wrist compresses nerves, tendons, and blood vessels. Result: The carpal tunnel narrows and can damage the median nerve. Longer bike rides with increasing fatigue make it difficult to maintain a healthy posture. The wing construction of our GP grips supports the hand, automatically brings the wrist into an ergonomically ideal position, and prevents numbness, tingling, and pain.
Thick and thin for best control
To always have your bike under control, your hand should not completely enclose the grip. Ergon offers many grips optionally in the sizes “Small” and “Large”. The difference relates to the grip width. This means: A larger hand has a better form fit on a thicker grip, while a thinner grip is best for a smaller hand. For hand (glove) sizes 6.5–8.5, we recommend size Small, for 8.5–10.5, size Large.
EXCLUSIVE QUALITY
Grip rubber made in Germany
The material of the Ergon grips meets the highest quality standards, is TÜV-certified, durable, and unique worldwide, with exclusively medical white oil as a plasticizer. The UV-stable long-life rubber compound is developed and manufactured exclusively for Ergon in Germany. Ergonomics, product design, and engineering – all made in Germany.
NUMBER SAFE
Always clamps – and that's a good thing
The clamping system of the GP series is extremely secure and easy to install. Each grip is fixed with only one screw and is reliably protected against twisting. Also important: Ergon aluminum clamps are forged and not pressed. Additional grip positions are enabled by the GP2 and other GP models with our super-light, flexible bar ends made of glass-fiber composite with grippy rubber inlays.
HAND PLEASER
The mix makes it
Minimal friction – maximum comfort: The super-soft, UV-stable long-life rubber compound developed by Ergon offers reliable grip with its texture fields while cycling, feels pleasant in the hand, and noticeably increases riding pleasure.
ALWAYS THE PERFECT TURN

Some models of our GP series, including the GP2, are available in special versions for different gear systems. For a regular gear system, both grips are the same length. The version for Gripshift® or Dual-Twist-Shift twist grip systems includes two shortened grips, for Rohloff®, Nexus®, and Single-Twist-Shift only the grip on the right side is shortened.
