Bestseller: The back-friendly multitasker

One of the best-selling Ergon grips. Whether mountain bike, fitness bike, or touring bike – the three-finger bar end of the GP3 has proven itself everywhere. Optimized ergonomics and function, highest quality, tested back-friendly. The user-friendly clamping mechanism (Pat. pend) is especially beneficial for amateurs. Approved for carbon handlebars.

Nerve-friendly

When cycling, the hands support a large part of the upper body weight on the handlebars. This creates high pressure on the small grip surface. The very sensitive ulnar nerve, which runs close to the skin surface in the area of the little finger ball, is often pinched. This can lead to numbness. The wing grip enlarges the contact surface of the hand, distributes the pressure more broadly, and prevents discomfort.

No bend – no tingling

Bending the wrist compresses nerves, tendons, and blood vessels. Result: The carpal tunnel narrows and can damage the median nerve. Longer bike rides with increasing fatigue make it difficult to maintain a healthy posture. The wing construction of our GP grips supports the hand, automatically brings the wrist into an ergonomically ideal position, and prevents numbness, tingling, and pain.

Thick and thin for best control

To always have your bike under control, your hand should not completely enclose the grip. Ergon offers many grips optionally in sizes “Small” and “Large”. The difference relates to the grip width. This means: A larger hand has a better form fit on a thicker grip, while a thinner grip is best for a smaller hand. For hand (glove) sizes 6.5–8.5, we recommend size Small, for 8.5–10.5, size Large.

Tested back-friendly: Healthy Back Campaign

Back pain is the number one common ailment. Especially when cycling, the fun of riding is quickly diminished. In a lengthy examination process by an interdisciplinary expert panel, consisting of doctors, orthopedists, and physiotherapists, the back-friendly effect of the GP3 grip was officially confirmed with the AGR seal of approval from the “Healthy Back Campaign”.

EXCLUSIVE QUALITY

Grip rubber made in Germany

The material of the Ergon grips meets the highest quality standards, is TÜV-certified, durable, and unique worldwide, using exclusively medical white oil as a plasticizer. The UV-stable long-life rubber compound is developed and manufactured exclusively for Ergon in Germany. Ergonomics, product design, and engineering – all made in Germany.

SAFE NUMBER

Always clamps – and that's a good thing

The clamping system of the GP series is extremely secure and easy to install. Each grip is fixed with just one screw and is reliably protected against twisting. Also important: Ergon aluminum clamps are forged, not pressed. Additional grip positions are provided by the GP3 and other GP models with our super-light, flexible bar ends made of glass-fiber composite with grippy rubber inlays.

HAND PLEASER

The mix makes it

Minimal friction – maximum comfort: The super-soft, UV-stable long-life rubber compound developed by Ergon provides reliable grip with its textured fields while cycling, feels comfortable in the hand, and noticeably increases the fun of riding.
