Behind the unique aesthetics of the Overcurve R4 lies an advanced construction technique: a stretchy, polyurethane-laminated material is combined with a comfortable mesh, reducing energy loss and providing lasting support to the foot where it is most needed. The BOA IP1 shoe closure is quick, reliable, and secure. The Overcurve shoe construction features an offset collar that wraps around the ankle along your natural alignment. The result is an asymmetrical shape where the shoe's collar curves from the outside to the inside over the foot. The moderately stiff R4 outsole provides a balanced ratio of comfort and pedaling efficiency, making it a true all-rounder. It features a lower profile structurally optimized with a 15% carbon fiber composition. The R4 outsole also offers efficient ventilation with internal channeling for effective temperature regulation. The cleat is positioned slightly further towards the heel compared to conventional placement to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression. This is particularly suitable for aggressively advancing aero riding positions.
