Maxxis Ardent Race 26x2.20 inch Tire 3C MaxxSpeed - Black

The Ardent Race fills the gap between the Ikon and the Ardent, between fast XC tires and trail tires. Its tread is medium-high, the center knobs are close together but allow enough space for good self-cleaning and are beveled for lower rolling resistance. The side knobs are angled and staggered, biting into the ground in corners. This makes the Ardent Race the right tire for all-round use and on trails. The Ardent Race is available in all three wheel sizes in 2.20" width as a Tubeless Ready version with EXO sidewall protection.

Exo Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains consistently good.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tires have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure, resulting in better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with a tube, and where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other Tubeless Ready tires because the bead of MAXXIS TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a true UST tubeless tire. This makes tubeless mounting successful on all rims that meet the standard dimensions with the first inflation and with little liquid. Even normal MAXXIS MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the casing fabric is very dense. However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by MAXXIS; the tubeless mounting of other models is at your own risk!
