Maxxis Highroller II Folding Tire - 29x2.30 Inch - Dual Compound - TR Exo

The Highroller II tire from Maxxis is the consistent and logical further development of a legend – the Highroller. It is more modern and aggressive, the open tread design digs deeper into the ground, and yet the rolling resistance is lower. The self-cleaning is even better and the braking traction benefits from the new design. The precise tuning of the stud positions results in a very predictable driving behavior with seamless transitions when steering into curves and enormous grip.

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and the rolling resistance decreases. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other “Tubeless Ready” tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. This makes tubeless mounting successful on all rims with standard dimensions on the first inflation and with little fluid. Even “normal” Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabrics are very dense. However, only the new Maxxis TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis.

The Exo Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tires consistently convincingly good. In the Dual Compound mixture, two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the mixtures is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.
