Maxxis Rambler folding tire - 700x40C - Dual Compound - TR

Maxxis's first real gravel tire! Large volume tread for good comfort. Lots of tread with angled knobs for easy rolling in the center. The closely spaced center knobs are beveled and therefore roll very well on hard surfaces, while open side knobs ensure predictable cornering behavior in different ground conditions. 

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. This makes tubeless mounting successful on all rims with standard dimensions on the first inflation and with little liquid. Even "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabrics are very dense. However, only the new Maxxis TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis.

In the dual compound mixture, two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.
