Maxxis Rekon WT folding tire - 27.5x2.60 inches - 3C MaxxTerra - TR Exo

The Maxxis Rekon is a very voluminous tire that you can use for daily tours, eagerly shred in the Wald and AllMountain, but also handles excursions into rougher terrain. Ideal for the rear wheel! The TR version with EXO sidewall protection is designed for tubeless riding with sealant, but like all TR tires, it can also be ridden with a tube. Maxxis WT tires are optimized for rims with an internal width of 30 mm or more.

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with lower air pressure. This provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a true UST tubeless tire. This makes tubeless mounting successful on all rims with standard dimensions on the first inflation and with little fluid. Even "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabric is very dense. However, only the new Maxxis TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis.

3C MaxxTerra is just the right 3C compound for Maxxis's Enduro and Freeride tires. Easy rolling uphill, as well as the best grip downhill, characterize this compound just as much as a long lifespan. 

The Exo Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tires consistently convincingly good.
