MRC Shock Cooling Fins - Fox Float X2 / DHX 2

The Shock-Cooling-Fins are the right accessory for your damper during long and hard descents! The damper converts kinetic energy into heat, and in doing so, it becomes warm itself – as it heats up, the damper oil changes its viscosity and the damping force decreases (keyword viscosity index). By using the cooling fins, you improve heat dissipation and ensure that the damper and thus its oil remain cooler. You achieve more consistent behavior of your damper when things get intense.

During almost identical test rides at an outside temperature of 27°C, a 13.33% lower heating of the damper oil was measured. At lower outside temperatures, the difference is even greater. The CNC-milled cooling fins were developed by Reichmann-Engineering and are manufactured to 100% in Germany. The fins fit all Fox Float X2 and Fox DHX2 dampers and are simply attached using cable ties. For optimization, commercially available thermal paste can optionally be applied to the contact surfaces.
