NS Bikes Synonym RC 2 - XC Race, 29" - Grey

When NS Bikes launched the Synonym two years ago, people shook their heads in disbelief. This bike was miles away from any short-travel bike ever mass-produced. The ultra-slack head angle, massive reach, and very steep seat tube had never been used in a short-travel bike, let alone a bike designed for XC racing. But the Synonym was the harbinger of a revolution. Thanks to this unique geometry, the Synonym feels more like an enduro on descents, climbs like a goat, and charges on the flat like a bull. When they started experimenting with this geometry in prototypes, they got the results they expected on the downhill tracks. These bikes were simply on another planet compared to all other bikes on the market with so much travel. However, what surprised NS the most was the fact that the bikes also climb better and are super fast on flat tracks! The climbing abilities mainly come from the rider sitting more in front of the rear wheel, and the weight distribution is better on steep uphill tracks. On the flat, the performance is excellent because the cockpit can be lowered, and the rider sits in a more aggressive aero position without the bike feeling unstable on descents. The RC range is designed for long-distance races and marathons. These bikes consist of an ultra-light full carbon frame with flex stays (which make heavy pivots unnecessary) and are equipped with a flat handlebar, lightweight cross-country tires, and 100 mm of travel front and rear.
