Based on experiences from World Tour racing and the constant pursuit of excellence, the Pirelli engineers have developed the most powerful all-round racing bicycle tire ever conceived by the iconic brand. The P ZEROTM Race was designed to pack all the advantages of tubetype technology into a race-ready all-rounder that surpasses all previously developed cycling folding tires, including tubular tires. After three years of development with the fastest racers of the World Tour, including UCI champions 2019, Pirelli designed this new folding tire. With the new SmartEVO compound and TechBELT carcass technology, it offers professional riders, as well as cycling enthusiasts, a superior product!

COMPOUND – SMARTEVO
The new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of three different polymers, each contributing its specific property while simultaneously ensuring a perfect balance of the inherently opposing characteristics: the goal for every rubber technician. To complete this project, Pirelli utilized its extraordinary experience gained over 100 years of motorsport and the vast know-how from cycling. Our in-depth knowledge and chemical expertise have enabled the material engineers and chemists at Pirelli to use this ternary polymer blend so advanced that it ensures an “intelligent” behavior characteristic of the outstanding properties of the SmartEVO compound. Perfect grip whether wet or dry, combined with low rolling resistance. A performance package suitable for all modern road disciplines and surfaces, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces require tires that work under all conditions.
