Description
After we launched the first saddles with CPC technology in 2013, the patented system with three-dimensional conical nanostructures that improve grip and vibration absorption, we decided to extend the 3D technology to the entire saddle to create a new ultra-light model with an innovative multi-sector cover developed based on pressure test analyses.
The NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS has the same ergonomic T-shape and compact dimensions (245 x 137 mm) as the NAGO R4, the new multi-sector saddle already used by several professionals like Tadej Pogačar, Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas, Pello Bilbao, and Alberto Bettiol.
DEVELOPED BASED ON PRESSURE TEST ANALYSIS
NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS was born from the study of Pressure Map MyOwn tests, the proprietary system of Prologo, which enabled a scientific analysis of the pressure areas exerted on the saddle by various professional and amateur cyclists.
The collected data enabled the development and production of an extremely lightweight 3D saddle with a cover made of separate sectors that optimally adapt to the different pressure areas and can ensure maximum support and comfort in all phases of pedaling.
3DMSS, THE MULTI-SECTOR SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY GOES 3D
The cover of the new NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS combines the MSS technology (Multi Sector System) with an innovative 3D printing process that allows for the creation of five separate sectors for each side of the saddle, which can optimally adapt to the individual pressure areas and take into account the cyclist's morphology.
Each sector has different complex geometric shapes, different densities, and differentiated elasticity coefficients depending on position and function:
the rear section has a high density and a high elasticity coefficient to provide better support to the sit bones and facilitate the traction phase when pedaling;
the three middle parts have a low density and a medium elasticity coefficient to provide maximum comfort where the soft tissue rests;
The front area has a medium density and a low elasticity coefficient to provide good support even when pedaling at the saddle tip.
COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE WITH RECORD WEIGHT FOR A 3D SADDLE
Part of our design efforts also focused on improving a typical weakness of 3D saddles, namely their weight, which is known to be higher than that of conventional saddles.
Based on the data from the Pressure Map MyOwn tests, areas of the saddle were identified where the exerted pressure was lower. The cover sections in these areas were made with special 3D geometric shapes designed to limit material use without compromising the comfort or performance of the saddle.
The injected long fiber carbon base and the Nack rail (Nano Carbon Fiber) help further reduce the overall weight while ensuring maximum stiffness.
The result? The weight of the new NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS is only 149 grams. The absolute lowest weight compared to all 3D models currently available on the market.

CPC Technology
CPC - Connected Power Control is the patented system by Prologo, used in "F1" and by the military, which guarantees performance and comfort through vibration damping, grip, and position stability. Thanks to its nanostructure, the special conical and hollow 3D polymer reduces muscle fatigue and facilitates airflow by lowering the temperature in the contact area. Furthermore, CPC, positioned at strategic points, protects muscles, tendons, and soft tissues from the stresses originating "from the road," guaranteeing its performance under all climatic conditions.

MSS System
Multi Sector System: This system offers different assigned and separate areas on the saddle, each consisting of various interactive foams and paddings with a single separate cell. The "islands" work autonomously and adapt to all positions that the cyclist can take while pedaling.
