Inconspicuous in design and significantly less additional weight than you think!

Only about 110 g heavier than a conventional stem and in design, it is not recognizable as a damped stem. This is unique in the market, no other damping system is so slim and inconspicuous. Nevertheless, the ShockStop from Redshift is individually adjustable in damping hardness, making it the perfect solution for a bit more comfort and for many also the solution against tired, numb, and asleep hands.

No compromises in handling, no compromises in design, acceptable additional weight

The damping can be individually varied in hardness. Simply remove the two pre-installed plastic dampers and install two of the five supplied dampers. With the large selection of combinations, everyone finds the perfect damping.
The damping does not restrict riding at the limit. The bike still steers very directly, and you still get full power on the pedals when standing.
It is also important that the stem does not differ visually from "normal" stems. It looks like a stem and thus fits very well with the appearance of a racing bike without "standing out." There are other models on the market that are large and often do not look very good on a racing bike.
For many, weight is also a factor: here you can say that the damping adds just about 110 g compared to a conventional stem in the 50-euro class. That means the bike does not become noticeably heavier (but noticeably more comfortable).

Use case 1: All road cyclists who have problems with numb & tingling hands

Many road cyclists struggle with hand problems. Often a different seating position or padded gloves help to get the problem under control. The travel up to 2 cm can be individually adjusted in hardness (by combining the plastic dampers differently).

With the ShockStop stem, you simply have more reserves and comfort, especially in rough terrain. Where your arms would otherwise quickly tire, for example on rough stone paths, you now roll over comfortably. Result: More range, less fatigue, no more arm and hand problems.

Detailed explanation of adjusting the damper hardness

The damping is adjusted using elastic dampers made of plastic. These are available in five different strengths, all five are included in the delivery and can also be purchased as a 5-pack. Two of the dampers are installed. You can now combine two very soft dampers for very soft damping or, conversely, install two hard ones for very hard damping. Of course, also soft and hard, etc.
This allows the damping to be varied very individually in hardness. The conversion is very easy.

Available in five stem lengths and an extra variant with a 30-degree angle

This stem is available in sizes 80, 90, 100, 110, and 120 mm. Just order the size you have been riding. Of course, a bike fitting, where you are measured on your bike, is even better. If you have problems with your hands, we always recommend a bike fitting (gladly also with us in Hanover).
Additionally, there is the 100 mm variant in + 30 degrees for a more upright seating position.
