For the assembly and disassembly of HOLLOWTECH II bottom brackets. The things that are just as important as the components: professional tools. Shimano tools are shaped to fit perfectly with Shimano components. The tooth profile of the receivers matches exactly that of the components, including consideration of tolerances.
Shimano's latest silver or black tools (TL-HS33/34/35/37/38/40, TL-FC 36) are laser-cut to achieve maximally smooth surfaces that prevent the risk of damaging the workpiece.
