Hollowtech II works with 24 mm axles and bearings. After analyzing all factors and conducting tests, we decided on axles and bearings with a 24 mm diameter. This offers the greatest possible balance of rotational efficiency, stiffness, durability, sealing, and weight in proven Shimano quality.
