M99 MATRIX MIRROR
The future is now! Based on scientific research from the Light Technology Institute at KIT and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the M99 introduced a lighting technology that sets completely new standards in bicycle lighting: an LED matrix, intelligently controlled and combined with a highly complex facet mirror consisting of 99 individually calculated surfaces and designed for unprecedented brilliance. After years of development, it became possible for the first time to pack high-performance automotive technology into the miniature format of a bicycle headlight.
ALUMINUM HOUSING
We use aerospace aluminum for our housings because it is not only super stable but also has the best thermal conductivity properties. The better the cooling, the brighter the LED. Cooling fins on the housings increase the surface area, allowing heat to be dissipated more effectively. Additionally, the housings are saltwater-resistant anodized and withstand the harshest conditions. Extreme tests in all seasons and climate zones by ultracycling athletes using Supernova lighting demonstrate the outstanding reliability and durability.
LED COOLING
Peak performance with optimal efficiency is our credo. Only through elaborate cooling of the high-performance LEDs can the enormous brightness levels of our headlight systems be achieved. Because: the better an LED is cooled, the brighter it shines. The lifespan is also significantly extended with good cooling. Some of the most important prerequisites for ideal heat dissipation include careful material selection and sophisticated design. Completely uninterrupted heat dissipation, for example, can only be achieved through a housing seamlessly manufactured from a single piece of aluminum. In extreme situations, an integrated heat sensor also keeps the headlight always in the optimal temperature range. Through computationally intensive computer simulations, our engineers find the most suitable way to dissipate heat from the LEDs in advance. Our over 20 years of experience with LED headlights is fully utilized here.
