Description
The new Trickstuff Universal Bleedblock ''Le Block'' is now compatible with all common disc brakes.
A bleed block is a simple, small block that is inserted into the pad slot of the brake caliper instead of the brake pads during the filling or bleeding process of a hydraulic disc brake. This prevents brake fluid or oil from accidentally getting onto the pads during bleeding and prevents the pistons from being pumped out of the caliper due to the high brake fluid pressure.
Conventional bleed blocks made of plastic are much too soft to reliably assess at the end of the bleeding process whether the brake is really properly bled and has a perfect pressure point. Checking with installed pads and disc is also less meaningful because pads are surprisingly soft and compressible.
Only when the slave pistons press directly onto a very hard, flat block can it really be assessed whether the brake is free of air.
The block is 10 millimeters thick, which is as thick as two pads plus a disc. This allows you to precisely observe at the workbench how evenly and how far the pistons extend in the operating state.
