This project began with the desire to operate 11-speed derailleurs and shifters from Shimano with SRAM 10-42t XD cassettes. Admittedly, the combination  can  work without modifications – but the performance was not quite what we would expect from the best Shimano and SRAM models.

When used with a 10-42 tooth cassette, the GoatLink 11 positions the SLX M7000, XT M8000 derailleurs and improves by 27% in the smallest gear.

Knowing that certain situations require a range beyond the 10-42 tooth or 11-42 tooth cassettes, we optimized the GoatLink 11 to also significantly improve the performance of the Shimano 11-speed derailleur with extended range, such as the modified 10-44 tooth XX1 or Wolf Tooth GCX 44t X01 cassette.
