The 353 NSW is the lightest tubeless wheelset from Zipp to date, making it a fast puncher ready to fight its way into the breakaway group. The use of hookless (straight) rims in the 353 NSW is an essential part of "Making You Faster." With hookless, the transition between tire and rim is more seamless and aerodynamic. The hookless rims from Zipp have a more efficient resin distribution, which means lighter and stronger wheels. The Sawtooth rim shape of the Zipp 353 NSW with Hyperfoils optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The Sawtooth design also allows the rim to be structurally strong yet light. This helps you accelerate out of corners and maintain that speed regardless of the terrain, especially on short, sharp climbs. The Zipp 353 NSW utilizes the TSE approach (Total System Efficiency) for wheel design and overcoming specific speed barriers: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. The internal width of the rims at 25 mm is perfect for running wider, tubeless tires with reduced air pressure. At the heart of the 353 NSW is the Cognition V2 hubset, which has been revised with an updated Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for faster engagement, reduced friction, and improved durability.
