With TSE, the 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless Disc-Brake Wheelset features a tubeless and hookless rim profile for a seamless tire interface and significant weight reduction. The 858 offers you the benefits of our deep rims at a weight typically associated with rims 20 mm shallower. The internal width of the wheel is 23 mm, which is ideal for running wider tires at lower pressure, thereby reducing rolling resistance. In this way, TSE technology helps you overcome the four obstacles to speed: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. The wavy, 82 mm to 85 mm deep rim shape of the 858 NSW, our patented Sawtooth profile, is our most powerful design for aero efficiency and crosswind stability. The 858 NSW is equipped with Zipp's Carbon Internal Reinforcement (CiR), making the rim 10% lighter and just as stable as previous wheels. The result is pure speed, especially for triathletes, time trial specialists, and all other speed freaks. And although this wheelset is optimized for tubeless tires, you still have the option to use tubeless tires with tubes. The 858 NSW is fastest with a 28 mm tire. In triathlon, wider tubeless tires with lower air pressure are faster and provide a smoother ride, keeping your body fresher for the run. The disc brakes also offer more reliable speed control and braking power in all weather conditions. The heart of the 858 NSW is the Cognition V2 hubset, developed with the Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for faster engagement and lower friction, as well as improved durability.
