WHAT IT IS
Super lightweight, stable liner bib shorts for intense off-road riding, completely redesigned with our new High Performance OFF-ROAD insert, a fit with more support and better protection, and increased breathability in the updated hip pads.
BEHIND THE PRODUCT
The super lightweight TRAIL TACTICA high performance liner is designed for breathability and durability. The pants are extremely lightweight and with the quick-drying, elastic manufactured straps, we resort to our lightest production technology of SUPERLÉGER Bib Shorts. The straps are attached to the zeroPressure Waist design, which also comes from our road equipment. However, we have optimized it and increased breathability by reducing it to a single layer and also improved the overall stability. The TACTICA zeroPressure Waist design is more breathable and provides more support, ideal for high-intensity rides on uneven surfaces like gravel and singletrack. The Liner Bib Shorts incorporate the new OFF-ROAD HP T3 Insert, which maintains the cooling air circulation of the previous version, but reduces friction while riding for added velvety comfort at high speeds on singletrack and gravel trails. The TACTICA features three pockets for expanded storage space. These are equipped with pull tabs for easy access under a jersey. An integrated spandex band stabilizes the fit in the leg cuffs, and the new ImpactorTec T3 hip pads offer a larger protective surface, a very soft interior and increased ventilation.
WHEN/HOW TO USE IT
The base layer of the TRAIL TACTICA system, effectively combined with the TRAIL TACTICA Cargo Shorts, Knickers, or Pants or the MILLE GTC ZEPPELIN Cargo Shorts for all off-road riding.
FINER DETAILS
The Polstar textile is a highly breathable, cooling mesh with bi-stretch and a water repellent layer that allows moisture to evaporate faster. While the material is more durable than the Sport Touring Liner Shorts, we recommend wearing them with an overtrousers. The Speedy textile is highly elastic, reduces odors and provides a compressive hold around the waist.
CONSTRUCTION/FIT
A skin-tight fit for barely noticeable layering under TACTICA cargo gear. We created a unique fabric construction to prevent friction against the skin. The standard leg length provides more protection between the skin and the outer layers.
ENGINEERING
- ImpactorTec T3: Re-engineered for the TRAIL TACTICA system with a combination of 7mm thick viscoelastic foam padding and a larger protective surface area, plus kraterCooler technology for cooling air circulation.
- zeroPressure Waist: A soft, ultra-elastic waist design for even more comfort and support without exerting pressure or restricting.
- Superlight Leg Grippers: Elastic band incorporated into the slightly compressive leg cuffs for secure support without constricting.
OFF-ROAD HP T3 Insert
- Shock-Absorb Damping Mono9: The compressive foam layers whose thickness we have increased from 8 mm to 9 mm for more upright riding positions on gravel and single track. A thermoformed cut reduces annoying transitions.
- 3D Waffle: A patented three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability, has no excess weight and provides shock absorption.
- goldenGate 2.0: Padding is attached front and back, with movable pads on the sides and center - for movement with you instead of against you. New cutouts on the sides reduce volume and friction with each pedal stroke.
- craterCooler: Perforations on the front of the Chamois pad promote air exchange and provide breathability and a dry, comfortable microclimate
