Bike shorts for your application

Bike shorts are like sand on the sea and for this reason we want to bring light into the darkness of the jungle jungle. What types of bike shorts are there? Which materials are used and for whom are the different trouser types? In the following sections you will learn what the respective bike shorts are and for whom they are suitable:

Bib-Shorts Bib Shorts
Bib shorts - or the classic cycling shorts are tight-fitting cut and sewn in the step an anatomically shaped inner pad. As materials functional full elastic Lycra and synthetic fiber materials are used. The bike pants not only protect the buttocks and perineum area, but give the body a slim and sporty appearance. This is used, among other things, by tight cycling jerseys, the optimization of Luftweststandes, as is customary in the clothing for the road bike. These cycling pants are also popular with many mountain bikers, trekking cyclists or XC racers. Low weight, fast-drying and elastic materials are the arguments for the sporty driver. Especially on long trips you should not do without such trousers. In combination with an ergonomic saddle you get a very comfortable fit on your saddle.
Enduro-Shorts Enduro bike shorts
With a really cool look and good ventilation, you're always well dressed! Even with a little untrained figure you are perfectly equipped for all bike and MTB adventures. The slightly longer cut shorts are designed for wearing knee pads. As the pants generally slide slightly upwards during pedaling, the overlapping knee areas can lay over the protectors better. Mountain bikers with more downhill oriented driving style are therefore more accommodating for the longer leg sections. But personal preference also plays a big role here. These bike shorts also often have a number of features. Zippered pockets are just as natural as ventilation holes or ventilation slots. In addition, additional functions are often added, so that some manufacturers, for example, sew eyeglass cleaning cloths or integrate small eyelets for attaching the key.
All-Mountain-Shorts All mountain and cross country shorts
They are a little narrower and shorter. Lighter stretch materials make them very comfortable on the skin and even better ventilated. These slightly lighter shorts made of elastic synthetic fibers are just as interesting for recreational bikers and cross country riders as they are for All Mountain Tourers on an Alpine crossing and for those who like to sit in the saddle for a long time and do not want to sweat. Whether on long sweaty climbs with the MTB, in the city or on long trekking trips, you will have a lot of fun with a high quality bike shorts and a wide range of uses. Of course there are numerous pockets, ventilation options and additional features.
Freeride-Shorts Freeride Shorts
Freeride shorts are much more robust and have more abrasion protection due to the more stable materials. Although these slightly heavier bike shorts are usually worn with protectors on extreme mountain bike rides, such as downhill and freeride, these zips have ventilation to regulate heat accumulation. For longer uphill sections, these pants can be a bit warmer, but the functions are rather unrestricted when driving steadily. The outer fabrics are made of abrasion-resistant nylon and polyester fabrics, for the necessary elasticity of the pants are sewn in addition to the bending zones, such as buttocks and thighs, cut parts made of elastic fabrics. The focus of the freeride shorts is on the body protection and compatibility with a safety jacket and protector pants. Of course, the freeride pants can also be worn without protectors and at leisure.
Downhill-Shorts Downhill Shorts
Downhill shorts usually do without pockets and extra features. The main focus is on the robustness and so these pants are made of extremely strong and stable fabrics. At much stressed areas, additional layers are sewn in order to provide even more protection in the event of a fall while extending the life of the shorts.
