Description
The Mountain King CX from Continental is a cyclocross competition tire.
The Mountain King has already made a name for itself in muddy CrossCountry races, and now the open-ground specialist is making its way into the cyclocross segment. Thanks to the deep tread, the Mountain King digs into the ground, but the massive lugs roll just as well over hard surfaces.
The shoulder lugs are intentionally separated from the center lugs, allowing them to cut deep into the ground on turns and "cross slope" rides. BlackChili Compound provides excellent grip, especially in low temperatures, with good self-cleaning. Testers' response: driving like on rails.
