Maxxis Gypsy folding tyre - 700x38c - SilkShield
Description
The Gypsy is the optimal tyre for bike touring or for the city. For an optimal combination of good rolling and secure cornering grip with DualCompound tread made of two optimally adapted rubber compounds. To keep you safely on course, the Gypsy has the Maxxis-developed SilkShield over its 60 TPI carcass, an all-round protection for tires from rim to rim, so that not only the tread, but also the sidewalls are protected from punctures this is especially important for safety even on fast e-bikes. This version of the Gypsy is approved according to ECE R75 and can therefore be used for e-bikes up to 45 km/h.
SilkShield provides protection all around, from rim edge to rim edge, preventing cuts and other defects on the tire sidewalls and under the tread.
With the Dual Compound compound, two different rubber compounds are combined into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired characteristics of the tires.
