Mucky Nutz Face Fender Reverse Mudguard
Description
The Face Fender Reverse by Mucky Nutz is basically the classic mudguard. Only the mounting holes have been moved to the rear, so that you can attach the fender to all forks with a switched triple clamp, such as Manitou forks.
Made from a single piece of thermoplastic, the Mudguard's profile is molded so that when mounted to the fork, mud, dirt, and whatever else would find its way into your face is captured. The shape was determined from the trajectory of things thrown into the air by the tire, at various speeds of the bike. In short, spin the wheel, dump water on it, and see where it goes.
The fact that the Mudguard is mounted so close to the tire means it can be small and discreet, yet effective. It's only 1mm thick, so it's a weight barely worth mentioning. The Velcro fasteners make it easy to fit and remove. If you want it to be reliably moted all year round, you can also use cable ties.
