The Tallboy has built a loyal following. It is the perfect companion for the fast "Power Hour" and for long days on the hunt for the best trails. The sophisticated VPP™ rear end combines efficiency with performance. An XC bike for downhillers or even a downhill bike for XC riders.
Tailored perfectly for every size:
Chainstay length and seat angle are matched to frame size (the seat angle gets steeper and the rear end grows as frame size increases), so every rider, regardless of body size, gets the same balanced geometry for best handling.
And since larger riders cause greater stress, we adjust the stiffness for each frame size. So we ensure that every rider gets the same, perfect ride quality
VPP:
VPP stands for Virtual Pivot Point. This namw is synonymous with performance. The countless World Cup victories prove it.
120mm VPP suspension travel:
For some it is (too) little suspension travel, for others all they need. With 120mm you do not spring as unnecessarily into the roughest stone field, as with its long-stroke friends, but as soon as it comes to make real trail meters and to chase rapidly through the terrain, the Tallboy is in its minimize.
Smart chassis:
The Tallboy is quite progressive. Due to the low gear ratio at the beginning of the suspension travel, the suspension responds very well. Out the back it remains defined and controllable, giving a direct but comfortable ride
Beating:
By significantly reducing the maximum anti-squat value (compared to previous generations of Tallboy), we have significantly reduced the interaction between the suspension and the drive while greatly improving the response. Since the anti-squat values correlate with the anti-rise value, we were also able to lower the latter and minimize the braking effects on the new Tallboy.
