TRP DH7 RD-M860 7-speed rear derailleur - black
The DH7 RD-M860 is the new line-up for TRP rear derailleurs. It was specially developed for hard descents and rough trails with a lot of airtime. For three years, the TRP development team worked with five-time UCI DH Cup champion Aaron Gwinn and his mechanic, John Hall, to create this innovative downhill rear derailleur: it offers 7 gears, a very defined shift behavior and absolute reliability. The so-called Hall Lock, which was developed by John Hall himself, can effectively eliminate loud noises that occur when the rear derailleur moves around the suspension. The Hall Lock is a friction clutch that prevents the rear derailleur from rotating around the suspension and, thanks to its adjustability, can adapt to almost any rear triangle. However, the rear derailleur still has enough space so that it is not damaged in the event of a violent impact or impact and the chain run is minimized. These features make the new DH7 rear derailleur perfect for the next downhill race or tough use in the bike park.

Hall Lock ™
Aaron Gwin's mechanic John Hall identified the movement of the rear derailleur around the suspension as the primary source of noise. In order to remedy this, he developed the Hall Lock ™: A friction clutch that prevents rotation around the rear derailleur suspension and is adjustable in strength and therefore always ideally suited to the rear triangle. A suitable setting prevents noise, but the rear derailleur is still so free to move that there is no damage when struck. The Hall Lock ™ can be easily unlocked to change the wheel.
Thanks to its large coupling surface, the Ratchet Clutch offers enough resistance and minimal wear. Depending on the travel and driving style, it can be individually adjusted in strength and unlocked at the push of a button to change the wheel.
