TRP DH7 RD-M860 7-speed rear derailleur - Black
Description
The DH7 RD-M860 is the new line-up in terms of rear derailleurs from TRP. It was developed specifically for hard descents and rough trails with a lot of airtime. For three years, TRP's development team worked with five-time UCI DH Cup Champion Aaron Gwinn and his mechanic, John Hall, to create this innovative downhill rear derailleur: It offers 7 gears, a very defined shifting performance and absolute reliability. The so-called Hall Lock, which was developed by John Hall himself, can effectively eliminate loud noises that occur when the rear derailleur moves around the suspension. The Hall Lock is a friction clutch that prevents the rotation of the rear derailleur around the suspension and can adapt to virtually any rear end due to its adjustability. However, it still leaves enough room for the rear derailleur not to be damaged in the event of a violent bump or impact and minimizes chain slap. These features make the new DH7 rear derailleur made for the next downhill race or hard use in the bike park.

Hall Lock ™
Aaron Gwin's mechanic John Hall identified the movement of the rear derailleur around the suspension as a significant source of noise. To remedy this, he developed the Hall Lock ™: a friction clutch that stops rotation around the rear derailleur suspension and is adjustable in strength to always ideally match the rear end. A suitable setting prevents noise, but the rear derailleur is still free enough to move so that no damage occurs in the event of an impact. To change the wheel, the Hall Lock ™ can be easily unlocked.
Ratchet Clutch
The Ratchet Clutch offers enough resistance and lowest wear thanks to its large clutch area. Depending on travel and riding style, it can be individually adjusted in strength and can be unlocked at the push of a button for wheel changes.
