Description
The BB30, named after the required axle diameter, is up to 100 grams lighter, has a lower Q-factor, more knuckle clearance and a higher durability. This new standard requires different frame specs and crank designs. In addition to a 30mm bottom bracket, the BB30 requires an extra-large frame bottom bracket shell that is 68mm or 73mm wide, as well as press-fit bearings secured by circlips.
