Since its original conception and fine-tuning during two consecutive editions of the mythical Tour d'Afrique in 2012 and 2013 (a tribute to the bicycle's genesis), the Hobootleg has broken the Guinness World Record for a circumnavigation of the globe by bicycle, conquered all seven of the world's highest mountain passes, and completed more than one million kilometers of adventure rides.
The result is a proven, extremely reliable adventure bike unlike any other in the world. From the use of double-butted Columbus tubing to the electrophoretic paint and tubular beams to the ovalized Cinelli handlebars and bar tape decorated with the sign language of early 20th-century American hobos, there isn't a detail on this bike that hasn't been obsessively tuned, tested, reworked and perfected over the last five years so you can ride it as hard and as far as you want right out of the box.
