Description
With its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive Gravity driving. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for even better cornering grip, it has extreme cornering grip. The center lugs have beveled lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the lugs improve transition when turning into corners. Part of the center lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. Thus, the tubeless mounting is successful with all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid. Also "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted like tires from other manufacturers Tubeless with sealant, because the carcass fabrics are very dense. Officially released for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis are but only the new Maxxis TR models.
The Exo Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tires unchanged convincingly good. In the dual compound mixture, two different rubber mixtures are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.
