A limited quantity of Pelago Bullmoose handlebars now available as a component! Until now only available for our Silvo- model. Due to popular demand, we are now introducing it as a standalone product Please allow us to share a little inspiration and story behind the design:
Bullmoose handlebars are a particular type of bicycle handlebar that were popular on early mountain bikes in the 1970s and 1980s. They are characterized by a single, continuous piece of tubing that protrudes from the stem and forms the shape of "moose antlers", which is where the name comes from.
The unique design of the handlebars allowed the rider to adopt a more upright and dominant riding position, which was well suited to tackling challenging off-road conditions and contributed to the development of mountain biking as a sport.
The one-piece construction gives the handlebars stability and durability, which is crucial for off-road riding.While Bullmoose handlebars are no longer commonly used in modern mountain biking, they hold a special place in the history of the sport and are considered a symbol of its beginnings and the innovative spirit of mountain bike pioneers.
The Pelago Bullmoose handlebar is a modern homage to this classic profile.
The idea was to take the trekking aspect a little further, and it works incredibly well in many riding environments, bringing a spirit of discovery and fun to any journey.
The handlebar is made of chrome-plated steel.
