And when it comes to brakes, there really is no "universal solution." This concept led us to develop Level, a new brake designed to meet the demands of modern cross-country and trail riders.
Level offers the same proven braking technology from SRAM that was used at the 2015 Downhill World Championships in a smaller, lighter package. Braking power and modulation are optimized by combining our DirectLink™ lever design with massive 2-piston calipers. Grip-width adjustment has been hidden, giving the overall package a tidy and compelling look. Plus, you're guaranteed to find the perfect setup thanks to five selectable options with Level.
The best level
As the name suggests, this is our ultimate brake design for cross country and light trail riding. We've taken the same brake technology that Loic Bruni used to become downhill world champion and packaged it in a smaller, sleeker, lighter package optimized for XC riding. The carbon lever provides precise and clean braking performance thanks to the twist grip bearings and our DirectLink™ design. It also feels great throughout the ride because it's been matched to our dual-piston monobloc caliper. Thanks to this caliper's premium thermal management and smooth piston actuation, you can pinpoint the braking point that's right for you. Plus, the BLEEDING EDGE™ design greatly simplifies brake fluid maintenance.
