Description
The Fly exemplifies the possibilities in lightweight construction of bike components. With its 432 grams, the Fly is a carrier for purists who expect a high utility value despite the minimal weight. Due to its V-shape, viewed from above, the Fly does not require an additional pair of struts to keep the panniers away from the spokes. Due to its narrow loading area, the Fly is particularly suitable as a pure pannier carrier. The FLY is mounted on top with a central attachment to the brake bar. It is suitable for both 26'' and 28'' bikes with narrow to medium tyre widths.

"Der Träger für's Rennrad"
Natürlich wird so ein Träger mit Taschen komplettiert, die an den Holmen eingehakt werden. Die Auswahl ist groß, vom Reisegepäck bis zur Büro-Aktentasche. Für Körbe ist er durch seine schmale Auflagefläche weniger geeignet, auch eine Federklappe ist deshalb nicht sinnvoll.
Der Träger selbst besteht aus dünnwandigen Stahlrohren und ist dadurch sehr stabil.
Bei der Montage haben die herkömmlichen Füße gut an die flachen Ausfallenden gepasst. Für moderne Rahmen hat Tubus noch eine Variante mit sogenannten "3D-Füßen" im Angebot, die eher mit komplizierter geformten Ausfallenden oder Scheibenbremsen harmonieren.
Die einzelne Strebe vorne habe ich am Bremssteg mit dem Bolzen der Hinterradbremse befestigt. Dazu musste ich die Strebe, die aus Alu-Rundmaterial besteht, um etwa 60 ° in einem Bogen abwinkeln.
Bei Bedarf kann ein Rücklicht oder ein Z-Reflektor mit standardmäßigen 50 mm Bolzenabstand angebracht werden.
