Fast rolling, aggressive cornering and a lightweight construction - this is the tire for XC courses that combine hard surfaces with root grids and occasionally rocky tracks. The Mezcal XC Race is designed for pure XC speed and its pedigree has been proven through multiple UCI World Championships and European XCO Championships.
The continuous centerline provides quick contact when rolling, and the staggered extensions are shaped to multiply the number of leading and trailing edges, so you'll power up the trail on climbs and provide more bite under braking. The rear sipes on the shoulder knobs run parallel to the trail with variable width and open rear edges, so the Mezcal corners fast on hard, slippery surfaces - despite being such a fast-rolling tire. When climbing, cornering or descending, no tire is better suited than the Mezcal.
Graphene-4C- Compound
Rubber enriched with Graphene in a graduated pattern of four compounds across the rolling strip and shoulders. Two stabilizing base compounds increase puncture resistance and create a foundation for climbing, braking and cornering loads. The trail-side compounds reduce rolling resistance, increase traction and provide a grippy ride on switchbacks and off-camber sections, whether wet or dry.
XC-Race TLR 120- Tpi casing
The lightest casing for XC racing, paired with a durable, supple 120-TPI nylon construction with tubeless-ready, world champion-proven aramid beads. The XC-Race TLR turns fast, doesn't take punishment and dampens noise without compromising responsiveness - speed and trail feel without vulnerability.
