The radically optimized battery efficiency of the HERO12 Black, together with the included Enduro 1,720 mAh battery, doubles video runtime at 5.3K60 shots per charge. You can now record continuously for 70 minutes at 5.3K60 (the highest setting). At 5.3K30, it's over 1.5 hours and at 1080p30 it's over 2.5 hours.6 Advanced technology makes Enduro more powerful than previous GoPro cameras and batteries, even at low temperatures.
High Dynamic Range for video + photos
The HERO12 Black sets new standards in image quality with HDR for video (5.3K and 4K) and photos. HDR is ideal for environments where there are both shadows and bright light, capturing the fine details of the scene that would normally disappear in the darkness of the shadows or be lost in the bright areas of your shot. The result is exceptionally dynamic footage with lifelike color and detail.

With 5.3K video that's 91% higher resolution than 4K and an incredible 665% higher resolution than 1080p, the HERO12 Black captures the action with crisp detail and cinematic image quality with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and takes photos at 27 MP resolution. Everything looks even cooler in slow motion. With the HERO12 Black, you can capture action at up to 8x slow motion at resolutions up to 2.7K and play it back at normal speed or in super smooth slow motion to capture epic details that would be invisible to the naked eye.

The HERO12 Black camera has three new time lapse and photo modes that let you get creative after dark. Startrails mode uses the Earth's rotation and stars to capture beautiful light trails in the night sky. With "Light Painting" you can create brilliant brushstroke effects with moving lights. "Car Light Trails" captures stunning light trails with nighttime traffic.
Edit your footage with the GoPro Quik app
The GoPro Quik app offers a range of easy-to-use tools that let you edit your footage like a pro. You can customize the highlight videos automatically created by the app or create your own videos from scratch. You also have the option to change the digital lens on your photos and videos afterwards. Switch from HyperView to SuperView, Wide or Linear and find the perfect setting, whether it's vertical for social media posts or widescreen for YouTube. You can zoom in on the best parts of your video and create high-resolution sections of the action while cropping away the rest. You can also extract still images of up to 24.7 MP from your videos.
Front + rear LCD display
Find the perfect perspective with the front or rear LCD display.
