Maxxis Rambler Folding Tire - 700x40C - Dual Compound - TR
Description
Maxxis first true Gravel tire! Large volume tread for good comfort. Lots of tread with angled lugs for easy rolling on the center. The narrow standing center lugs are beveled and therefore roll very well on hard surfaces, open standing side lugs provide good predictable cornering in different ground conditions.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. Thus, the tubeless mounting is successful with all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid. Also "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted like tires from other manufacturers Tubeless with sealant, because the carcass fabrics are very dense. Officially released for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis are but only the new Maxxis TR models.
With the dual compound mixture, two different rubber mixtures are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired characteristics of the tires.
