Based on the Velocita tubular tire for road bikes, the developers at Maxxis have taken the familiar tread design for the Velocita AR (All-Road) and widened it. The diamond tread in the center of the tire transitions to a siped tread at the edges, which brings safety and stability when cornering. Riders looking for a lightweight, fast-rolling, high-volume slick tire for their gravel or do-it-all bike should hit the Velocita AR.

"Leichtroller für feste Wege"
1A Straßenreifen fürs Gravelbike, ausprobiert auf dem miesen Asphalt Lanzarotes. Fahre mit Latexschläuchen, Aufziehen ging easy. Supersmooth, kein Vergleich zum Geholper mit Rennreifen. Abseits der Straße aber schnell am Limit, losen Untergrund mögen die Reifen nicht - was aber auch klar ist. Dicke Empfehlung!
"Super Speedgravel-Reifen"
Wenn man mit dem Gravelbike schnell und mit viel Volumen (= Dämpfung) auf gut befestigten Pisten und schlechten Asphaltstraßen fahren will, gibt es keine besseren Reifen. Bauen auf meinen 25c-Felgen 41,5 mm breit, lassen sich sehr einfach montieren. Für Tubeless vielleicht zu einfach, aber ich fahre eh mit Schlauch. Robustheit muss sich noch zeigen, bin da aber bei Maxxis sehr zuversichtlich.
