The Cinturato Velo is Pirelli's new tubeless clincher tire designed for protection and comfort without compromising performance.
KEY FEATURES:
The reliability of SmartNET Silica technology combined with the tubeless-ready comfort and resistance of the new Armour Tech technology brings out a new generation of folding tire. This has a unique DNA with the perfect performance for long distances and different terrains.
Armour Tech™ construction (patent pending) combines various components, in order from the inside out, that complement the 60 TPI nylon casing underneath:
- High density nylon layer from bead to bead that protects against cuts and improves stability. At low pressure and help make the carcass airtight when used with liquid sealant.
- High-density corrugated belt of aramid fibers under the tread, which provides protection against piercing and sharp foreign objects.
- Aramid fibers in the tread rubber compound (SmartNET™ Silica) are distributed in two layers:
- An outer (cap) that guarantees performance (dry & wet, mileage, contact feel),
- An inner (base), which thanks to a higher number of these fibers slows the penetration of foreign bodies into the underlying layers

The bead of the Cinturato Velo is designed for maximum compatibility and airtightness with tubeless rims,
as well as easy mounting in tubular or tubeless configurations
