Description
GRD 2 is a great gravel grinder for beginners. Lightweight frameset with aluminum fiber fork for greater comfort on long rides. The reliable and broadband 1×10 drive from Microshift with a broadband cassette lets you master even the pressure fullest climbs. With this bike you never want to stop, but when you really need to, the disc brakes do not let you down. The geometry of the GRD is pretty tight and aggressive, but at the same time comfortable enough to get you through long bike escapades. It easily converts to a commuter or adventure bike, and has all the rack and fender mounting holes you'd ever need. Just get it and go!
What's different from the Gridd 1: Alloy fork, 1x10 gears (11-48). The geometry has been modified somewhat to accommodate less experienced riders - it is more comfortable, lighter and more stable, making the bike easier to control at high and low speeds. That said, the Gridd 2 has all the features of its older brother: mudguards and rack mounts, ample tire clearance and disc brakes. This bike is a great option to start gravel grinding

"Ein Bike, welches einfach Spaß macht!"
Dadurch, dass die Kabel am Rahmen langgeführt werden, kann man problemlos die Bowdenzüge wechseln, apropos Bowdenzug, wie erwähnt, werden "nur" mechanische Bremsen verwendet, ja die Bremskraft ist geringer als bei hydraulischen Bremsen, aber es kann ohne Probleme selbst gewartet werden (Bremse muss nicht entlüftet werden und man muss sich nicht belesen, welches Öl man verwenden muss). Ich habe jetzt am Bike ein Redshift Vorbau montiert (ja etwas teurer, aber steigert den Fahrkomfort enorm),arbeitet deutlich besser, als jede Carbongabel. Zwei Punkte die mir aufgefallen sind, welche mir persönlich nicht gefallen, zum einen der Sattel, der nach einer Weile dann doch etwas unangenehmer ist und zum anderen die Positionierung der Bremsgriffe, da ich kleinere Hände habe, komme ich nicht wirklich gut an die Griffe in der Table-Position ran, in der Drop-Position sind sie dann problemlos zu erreichen. Vielen Dank an das Team im Geschäft von "New Order" - Berlin, dort hatte ich die Möglichkeit, das Rad vorm Kauf zu testen und wurde sehr gut beraten.
Fazit: Meiner Meinung nach ist es ein Bike, welches sich an Leute richtet, die das Budget im Auge behalten wollen und trotzdem Fahrsport haben wollen. Die Komponenten von Microshift sind sehr preiswert und durch die Kabelverlegung außerhalb des Rahmens, hat man die Möglichkeit ganz einfach selbst Reparaturen durchzuführen. Ein gelungenes Budgetbike, welches man sich auf jeden Fall für unter 900€ kaufen sollte.
