Description
With its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive Gravity riding. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF widened slightly for even better cornering grip, it has extreme cornering grip. The center lugs have beveled lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the lugs improve transition when turning into corners. Part of the center lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control. The SilkShield layer surrounds the whole tire from bead to bead, the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together this gives EXO+ with the following benefits:
- 27% better puncture protection on the tread
- 51 % stronger sidewall
- 28% more puncture protection
- Compared to our proven stable EXO casing
Tires with EXO+ Protection are built for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing, and especially designed for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs as well. Initially, wide versions of the popular Minion DHF, Minion DHR II and Rekon are available with EXO+ casings.
3C Maxx Terra: The freeride version of Maxxis' 3C tires. Significantly more grip and traction due to softer compounds, with acceptable rolling resistance, so you can still ride well up the mountain before the great descent, and long life.
