Description
With its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for even better cornering grip, it has extreme cornering grip. The center lugs have beveled lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the lugs improve transition when turning into corners. Part of the center lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control.
3C Maxx Grip (DH): Superior racing performance from three different rubber compounds in different positions in the tread. The base layer provides low rolling resistance and satability of the tread lugs. The compound in the center of the tread provides the best grip on any surface, while the extremely cushioned compound on the shoulder lugs provides the best possible cornering grip.
Double Down tires are built like Maxxis downhill tires: two carcass plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, with two 120 TPI (instead of 60TPI) carcass plies and aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than downhill tires, much stronger and more robust than TR + EXO tires, making them ideal for tough enduro courses.
